Question remove emblems and trim

I have an 04 neon sxt. We are wanting to remove all of the emblems and the side trim from down the side of the car. My problem is, I have no idea what its put on with or how to get it off without messing up the paint. Any ideas would be great. I also wanted to mention that I too am having that same viration and ckunk sound everyone seems to talk a out. After reading this whole site, we decided to change the motor mount and the upper and lower torque struts before tryin anything else. The rubber in the upper strut is busted all the way through in many places, so they needs changed anyway. Ill let yall know somethin.

two sided sticky tape. VERY strong stuff! A heat gun (on LOW), and a PLASTIC scraper should see it all come off. If you have any issues with adhesive residue, put some Zippo fluid on a rag, and rub it out.

The emblems are easy. When I removed the emblems, I simply wiped the adhesive off gently with Goof Off.

I also wondered if anyone could tell me if wheels from any of the other dodge cars fit the neon.

Welcome!!! What I did was first spray the side trim and emblems with WD40. Spray them and let it sit for about 5 mins. Next take a PLASTIC putty knife and spray it with WD40 then wrap a paper towel around it (just a precaution) and spray the emblem, side trim again and SLOWLY and GENTLY start sliding the putty knife behind the emblem, side trim and start pulling as the putty knife slides along. Remember to keep the emblem, side trim soaked with WD40 at all times. To remove any residue use Goo Gone.

hi newbie here with an 05 SXT w/57k mi on it.
is the emblem on the steering wheel just mounted w/ tape, or is is studs like on the chargers/challengers?... I bought replacement autobot badges for the wheel and nose, but i don't want to a) destroy my steering wheel, b) set off my airbag...

thanks in advance.

The emblem on the steering wheel is held in with 4 tabs. You have to kind of pry it off. As for the replacement badge, it won't sit flush on the steering wheel because there are like 3 rubber strips underneath that support the factory badge so if it gets pushed, it doesn't cave in. I ended up cutting the whole piece of rubber out and glued my new badge in around the edges so it sits flush with the steering wheel. I went with a decepticon one, lol. The front one is easy to get off. You pop the middle plastic rivet thing out carefully, then you lift up and out or something like that to get the two plastic tabs out. Two things. The badge started to fall of the front of my car because it was too hot for the tape to cure and stick to the bumper. I'm kind of glad though, because two, it looks out of place IMO. I stuck it in the center console at the time. It cured to the side in there and won't come off now. Heh, it'll be a big PITA when I try to attempt to pull it off.
