Help finding fuse controlling gauge lights and rear taillights!!!
2000 Neon, 4 door.
Leaving work today and somewhere a fuse that controls my gauge panel, radio burnt out. I can't find it to save the life of me. Drove home 75 miles with my hazards on only to be pulled by a cop!
I looked for 15 mins trying to find the fuse that is blown and caused this problem. I looked in the gauge panel on the driver's side of the dash board and can't find it. I even looked to see all the fuses were good and non were blown.
Then I looked at the fuse panel in the engine compartment and no luck. What the hell is going on? Can someone plz help me out here?

I tried those but will look at them again. the fuses looked good but I'll buy new fuses and retry.
I should note my problem started after I jumped in the car the other night and started it up, only to find someone had turned my car stock stereo volume to FULL BLAST!! Nearly blew my ears and pissed me off. It was right after I turned it down that I turned my lights on to dirve home and found the dash illumination and thus rear driving taillights were out.

Ok still no luck! I'm thoroughly pissed off.
I also went and replaced all the rear taillight bulbs (2 per side) and still nothing. Replaced most of the fuses in the fuse panel near driver's door, even though they all looked good. Still nothing.
Anyone with any ideas? Is there some sort of relay that could control the gauge panel lights and rear running lights?

I also have this same problem with my 2001 Neon RT, I have no tail lights and no dash, HVAC, or radio lights what so ever. When I turn my lights on "FUSE" flashs just above the odometer but I checked and recheck and triple checked all the fuses that I could find and they are all good. Both bulbs look fine for the tail lights. GRRRR
My update:
finally fed up with replacing every fuse even though none of them were burned out I took it to my friends shop. Good and bad move. Bad news is they charged me nearly 100 to diagnose a burnt out wiring harness and some sort of control module that reside inside the steering column behind the steering wheel.
New harness was 100, new module 200. Plus their diagnosis of 100 and you get 400. Another 100 to install the parts and it cost me 500 freakin hundred bucks to have nighttime rear brake/running and gauge cluster lights!!! I didn't have a choice.
I recommend pulling the column plastic covers off yourself and checking things out.
