Darthroush, the 90° rubber boot off of the plastic vacuum line that runs from the back of the valve cover (just left of the ignition coil pack) to the intake manifold/intake duct & also on the line from the PCV to the air filter box.
Still huntin EVAP leak but found starting issue! When the car died on me I was checking some stuff I realized part of the wiring harness (i had disconnected to trace a short) was not fully connected. Doh!

Those elbows you are talking about would cause a vacuum leak if they aren't sealing, as they should. Maybe as a test, get some hose clamps and gently (the valve cover is plastic after all) clamp the elbow to the valve cover and see if that changes anything. I don't know that kind of leak would register under EVAP, but who knows? I do know, the NGC system the 2003-2005 cars have, can detect a hole in the EVAP system down to...~0.020" IIRC?
