Default Tranny issue

Hey guys I have a 2004 dodge neon sxt, just recently I started having an issue with my transmission. It first started happening when I used my left turn signal it started blinking rapidly, and in the process car doesnt shift out of 1st or 2nd gear. So I tried replacing the light bulb no go. But when I turn the car off wait a few seconds then turn back on its fine only when I use that left turn signal I have the issue. This was yesterday now when I use my lights on I have the issue.

Sounds like you have some wires shorted together. Has anything happened to the wiring lately? Any major work done under the hood? Wrecked? Look at the harness for pinched or broken wires in the harness sections leading to the turn signal and trans itself.

The MFS can short/burn out on these. It's behind the steering wheel. It's where the signal switch, wiper switch and so on are located. Might take a peek at those wires.

Nope I haven't done any kind of wiring to the car of the sort. But yesterday did notice that the wiring for the foglights, on the drivers side fog light the wire itself was exposed. I dont know if it had anything to do with it, so I just went ahead and disconnected it anyway but still same issue, but I will go ahead and take a look where suggested.

The MFS wires would be inside of your steering column... unless you have a wiring diagram it won't be easy to tell which wires are which. I would try to trace the lights coming from the headlights back to any of the big splices.

Another thing I noticed when use that left turn signal, I noticed the eatx relay is making a clicking sound rapidly. Is that supposed to happen?

...No... most likely your speed sensors, that should fix your shifting problem.

now i'm not saying I know everything, but I know a little, can you explain to me how the light or turn signal would effect the speed sensors.
