Have an 04' Neon 2.0. If you crank it with the A/C on it will spit and sputter while it is idling. When you stop at a stoplight it will miss and sputter and occasionally while driving. It runs perfect with the air turned off. I've already changed plugs and wires, but am stumped at what it is doing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

 

Yeah, not sure what is causing that. When the air is on in mine you can definitely feel when the a/c compressor is on because there is a definite drop in acceleration. But mine does not sputter or hesitate. It is just a little laggy until the compressor disengages when you hammer the throttle. And if you do that I can literally watch my gas needle drop...its crazy.
