I think you are correct so I guess ball joints are new then. I wasnt the one who replaced the arms so wasnt sure. Daughter still had car away at college and I wasnt taking care of it...
So....it appears to definatly be a transmission related occurance only in the one gear for juyst a moment and nothing suspension related. Probably messed something up with clutch pacs when filter was clogged and tranny messed up.

I doubt it is torque steer at the point you are describing. I know with my car it doesn't have enough power in the higher gears to pull the car to the left or right. I do get torque steer really bad in first and second gear when I make a hard pull. It has to be something transmission related.

It could be a tire pull as well. Rotate the front tires to the opposite side and see what happens.

Well looks like I need to find the problem. Had a/c on and going on a freeway on ramp had it 3/4 throttle about 4500 rpms and in between 3rd and right before OD 4th shift it pulled so hard to the left instantly I went halfway over into other lane. My wife looked over and thought I jerked the wheel hard left and im like wasnt me....LOL

So either the new shift solenoid I put in calibration is off for the rpm range in that gear or something else tranny related internally causing it. Tried WOT from a stop and its fine in all other gears at same rpms and throttle positions and shifting through each gear is fine as well, its just that once place it happens.

Yes I agree its a trans problem but it works great cept for this occurrence. Car is perfectly drivable as long as I dont floor it which ive actually never dont cept for this time today its never seen more than half throttle its whole 95K mile life. Im sure I could drive it like this for another 50K before dumping more money in it but the question remains...how long before it actually breaks.......

BUT...

My wife just said lets go trade it in on a newer car, so off we go....

Im just kinda funny though and really wanting to see whats causing it.

if it was me, I'd come up with ways to analyze the problem. funny thing is, it's pretty obvious on this board, you're the only one that has this issue and no-one else can even phathom a guess. If I drove it, I probably could determine it's cause in about 20 min. but sitting in a comfy chair makes the key sense of feel completely useless.

i agree with your wife, dump it and get a car that won't cause alll these headaches.

Actually not causing any headaches...I just drive it. Its only a drive around town grocery getter and not used for anything else cept that pretty much now anyway.
Infinity dealership offered us 2K on a trade in on it on a 2 year old Infinity. I figured for that id just keep it as a car to use if something else breaks down....

Thanks for all the help and suggestions people!

SRT-4s have a problem with torque steering, I almost ran down a man walking his dog one time......a lighter foot on the gas helped a bunch!!!
