Still have the old solenoid? If you think the new one might be the problem, put the old one back on and see what happens.

then he's going to have to find a solenoid gasket which he said are hard to find.

and really do you think the transmission solenoid shifting into 4th is really the cause of torque steer?

The gasket is new. A few days isn't going to make the gasket useless (if it wasn't siliconed on there). On these electronic transmissions, it wouldn't surprise me. These things can kick. Mine does on occasion for some unknown reason. I personally think it's more to do with the fluid flow, or lack of. It seems to lose prime (can't think of what else to compare it to) just long enough to cause the transmission to have to kick back in, causing it to jerk the car. Someone on here said the aftermarket filters o-rings aren't the exact same size as the factory one; the thought being it causes air to get in it and lose the prime for just a second. He said he put a factory filter in and hadn't had that problem since, IIRC. I've got a factory filter sitting in my tool box to try when I change the fluid here in a bit. I'll see what happens after I change it. The factory filter was cheaper than the aftermarket one anyways. Go figure.

Or maybe you think it's a torque steer in 4th gear, but your car is just out of alignment and the high speed really brings it out.

I took it up to 100 today several times and it did not pull to the left at all under steady acceleration going straight or sweeping left and right curves at that speed. Like I said it only happens at that one point right before the shift to OD 4th. Once in 4th its fine no matter what the speed and 1st, 2nd and all of 3rd up to shift point is fine. Its defiantly a shift occurrence setting up going into 4th.
Really dont bother me anymore but since I got lots of time on my hands I just mess with it instead of watching tv..

Sounds like an internal problem then, I'm no transmission expert though.

Did you have the transmission mount changed?

Hmmm no it hasnt been but it looked fine when checked BUT under torque it could be giving too much. I would think the mount would shift much more under 1st gear/2nd but not very little throttle in 3rd/4th.
Who knows...too hot out lately to wanna change it. Ill wait for cooler weather.

It has been crazy hot up here lately! I've got all of my timing belt/water pump stuff coming, but I'm going to be holding off on that for a bit too.
