Orlando PD doesn't seem to mind my loud yellow skittle. I set car alarms off left and right though. Haha!

so would you recommend leaving the air intake where it is, up near the top area? i do live in a rainy state..

as for exhaust, is that just the muffler or is that the entire tubing+muffler?

I would say keep your stock intake and go with an exhaust.. I realized really quick i was stupid for buying an CAI just for the rain factor, when it rains here, it pours, so streets flood. I notice a puddle and speed up and turn my car off when I go through.. I know im getting the filter wet.

I have the SRT exhaust cat-back with the stock resonator. Just the axle back doesn't have any resonators and is quite loud.

My set up now is still too loud for me. I'll be buying a glass pack this winter.

Actually, replacing the factory muffler with a Flowmaster 40 series I believe (I also see Camaro mufflers listed; perhaps that's what it is), is pretty darn good sounding. I think that's what a friend has on his. Sounds pretty good IMO. I can double check on all of that if anyone is seriously interested.

I got my borla for 150bucks shipped from someone selling theres its from a srt4. Also have a glasspack on mine was really loud without one just like my srt4 stock one. If you just get one like brood it will cost less than 100bucks . I actually got mine for free stock srt exhaust I mean. I would just get a drop in k&n filter and leave your intake just the way it is stock.

hey just a quick question since i already have this thread going, and is perhaps related to the intake.

sometimes when i accelerate on the highway wide open throttle i can get really musty steamy hot air that comes through the vents. whats up with that?

I've heard of that happening before, actually. Wasn't anything bad about it I believe, but strange nonetheless.
