Default 2003 sxt

Hi y'all. I'm just wondering how the SXT model differs from other models of the neon.

A:

Performance Difference:
1. Magnum Cam (equivalent to a Crane 12) w/ stronger valve springs.
2. Aluminum Dual-Runner Intake Manifold with functioning butterfly actuators.
3. 2.25" Dual Outlet Exhaust (MUCH more free flowing then the standard exhaust)
4. Magnum Exhaust Manifold (Same as the aftermarket Borla header).
5. Magnum Head (larger intake/exhaust ports, much better flowing).
6. No top speed limiter...same rev limiter though.
7. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS (rear discs are the same as on SRT-4's).
8. Tokico Struts, stiffer spring rates, and front/rear sway bars.
9. Dynamic Suspensions Double Adjustable Inverted Struts (ACR ONLY).
10. "Firm Feel" Power Steering.
11. Different PCM programming...along with different fuel maps and better spark timing.
12. 9.8:1 Compression Ratio.
13. 3.94 Final Drive Transmission

Body Difference:
1. Side skirts
2. Rear Bumper w/ Dual Outlet Exhaust Cutouts.
3. Different front seats
4. Leather steering wheel/shift ****/shift boot/optional leather seats.
5. 16" Aluminum Alloy Wheels
Overall, the SXT is a bit "sportier" than the ES or SE, but not as powerful as the R/T or ACR.

The SXT is basically a fully loaded version of the SE models. The R/T's are a "sportier" version of the SE/SXT. The SRT-4s have a turbocharged 2.4L engine, along with a better stereo system (Kicker), interior and so on.

yea, since that list kinda lumps together ES/SE/SXT's...and separates the higher performance models... here's my notices...

I have an 2004 SE...my Mom has a 2003 SXT

I have roll up windows, she has power... I have manual locks, she has power locks... she has cruise, I don't...she has map lights, I don't... the SXT also has a inside (and remote) trunk release and a panic on the remote, I have no inside trunk release or remote....her SXT came with white faced gauges and a tach... mine (had) black face gauges and no tach... hers came with nice aluminum (I believe) 15 inch rims, mine (had) 14 inch steelies with hubcaps... the SXT came with a rear wing, mine (had) no wing...hers has foglights..mine didn't come with any... also believe the SXT's have body color side moldings and door handles, mine are (were) just black

...and one thing that I thought was really weird, and maybe it's just an option on either.... my 2004, yes 2004, car came with a stock radio CASSETTE player... hers has a CD player stock

My ES has power windows (front), Power locks, no Cruise R/T type spoiler, Fog Lights, has a 4 disc CD changer under the Dash that is stock but no longer is hooked up due to having a after market CD player installed.. 15 inch Aluminum "snowflake" rims. I have the build sheet for it here somewhere from when I called up dodge and gave them the VIN for them to send it to me.

The 2000-2001 models came with a lot more options, before they started cutting them all back to save money.
