I finally got it to the garage.. They seem to think its the timing belt.. They quoted me 300 to fix it.. Which isn't bad considering it would cost me 100 just to tow it home.. They have a camera they are gonna put in to see if the valves and or pistons were damaged.. I guess dropping the clutch was a bad idea.. Still waiting for an update

300bucks is pretty reasonable would be more if you took it to the dealership though. Good luck hope nothing is damaged if it is the timing belt.

When the starter spins like that it usually doesn't indicate sensors.

haha oh boy, so the engine is toast.. i guess the vavles are bent and all that jazz, so now im in the market for a new engine! If anyone has any ideas, im in Ottawa, Ontario.. so i can easily get it shipped close to the border and bring it accross the myself.. i was debating throwing in a 2.4 turbo but that is probably just unnecessary and more money than i bargained for

Your cheapest and most straightforward option is going to be the same engine from a 2003-2004 R/T.

Unless you can find a nice un abused srt4 engine cheap just have to look around to see what you can find in junk yards and ebay and craigs list.

Okay so I found a 2004 exc r/t motor.. Only 50 000kms for $300.. Just wondering if it will be a plug and play or if the non r/t will cause some problems.. I'm gonna miss the extra kick of the r/t but I just need a motor to get me through university.. And with the warranty I'd be getting on main components it seems I may have nothing to lose if it will fit easy.. Only 3 weeks till school starts so I don't have a ton of time to tinker
