I've got a '03 neon 2.0L SOHC. I've started building it a little, ive done some head work, put a cam in it. Now I need to some tunning. Can anyone recommend a programmer or sombody I can send the PCM to, and have it flashed? I was looking at a controller from JET, but idk how much i can change with that or if its more of a data logger. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

 

Megasquirt. You can't reprogram a Neon PCM and flash-tuners and controllers/chips do not work on these cars, even though everyone sells them.

 

Thanks man. you just saved me from wastin a couple hundred bucks. That Megasquirt system looks pretty involved. Gunna have to do a lotta research before i jump into that one.

 

Only chip worth lookin into is jet . I know some that like it in there neons and works nicely. I can find a jet chip for like 100 bucks to 150bucks not much if you know where to look . I would go to other forums and cardomain and ask around to see what everyone has done to there neon . Only two guys on here have nicely done engine mods like dts neon and neon of 19s both have turbos.

 

It MAY work in 2000-2002 Neon's, but the NGC in the 2003-2005 cars WILL override it. Both of them, IIRC, have Megasquirt too; not a chip.

 

Actually the neons I know that have them in them are 03 and 05 neons and some srt4s also.

 

Of course they are. I'm still waiting for dyno slips...

If you want tuning, get something you can tune with --> Megasquirt.
If you want plug-n-play, get a chip.

 

Or if you want something better than both go for a turbo setup maybe even with nitorus to go along with the turbo setup like Im lookin into doing.

Yeah I mean what you guys are talkin about is little engine stuff if you really want more than a chip or megasquirt than look into doing a turbo setup maybe not the nitrous with the turbo . Cause a turbo setup alone is all what you need. Just ask dt or neon on 19s they are very happy with there turbo setups.
