Hi Everyone, I have a 2001 Neon, 5 speed 171,000 miles. The other day while shifting, it felt like it got stuck in gear. Now when I step on the clutch nothing happens (car stays in 1st and keeps moving). I can move the shifter from 1st to 2nd, but the car doesn't actually shift. I can not move the shifter from side to side.

The slave cylinder seems to be working as I can see it moving when someone steps on the clutch. Any ideas of how to get this thing out of gear at least and into neutral? Or what might be wrong with it?
