New tail lights received today! (question about fuel system cleaner also)
So do i get props for combining topics?
i feel like i start WAY too many threads on this forum..
Anyways, i finally got my new tail lights i ordered on ebay today.
" 03-05 DODGE NEON EURO TAIL LIGHTS REAR BRAKE LAMPS RED SMOKE "
i was a little concerned because i looked all over the web to see
if i could actually find a neon that already had these on, but i could
only find pictures of the tail lights themselves.. but after making the
swap i felt relieved. DANG these things look good!! not exactly as
shaded as i would like, but definitely better than stock! Before and after.

you can see a few of my horrific scratches and
nubby exhaust tip in the last photo
Also, i bought this Fuel System Cleaner from auto zone that was
sitting next to the cash register, it was on sale for just $4. My dad
claims that this specific brand really doesn't do much. then again,
he's never too bright with his comments or opinions.. Its a bottle of
Gumout, and it says to just mix the whole bottle into a nearly
empty gasoline tank, and then fill tank with up to 21 gallons of
gasoline. wait a minute, don't neons only have 10-12 gallon tanks??
for best results, do not refill tank until near empty.
any suggestions on what to do? i feel that its a little unsafe to use the
whole bottle, since i cant mix it with 21 gallons of gasoline........
would you suggest this brand? should i return it before even opening it?

Nice lights. I don't really like my 02 style tail lights, but I prefer the front end over the 03-05.
Also, if you want them darker, I recommend VHT Niteshades Spray Tint. You can buy this at AutoZone or here:
http://www.modernperformance.com/nit...ns-p-1973.html
As for a fuel system cleaner, I suggest you read this:
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen-neon/88224-the-official-2nd-gen-faq-and-performance-thread.html
More towards the bottom of the post it talks about fuel additives and such.

should i use the whole bottle by:
using half of the cleaner mixed with a full tank
run that tank empty
use the other half to fill up again
and run that tank empty too?
or
just use half the bottle, then save the other half in the next 3,000 or so miles?

I use to have both types of those clk tails and you can get tinted spray at any autopart store. I just got some at oreilys for 8bucks . I have almost every kind of taillights so might get some of those again and tint them way different. You just pour the gas stuff in and fill up just did this and used the high mileage stuff.
