I have a automatic 2004 Dodge Neon. I dont know what the problem is but I am going to explain it the best way I can. Like if I am sitting at a stoplight and the light turns green. I press on the gas it seems like the gears or not changing. When I press on the gas something under my engine pops and the car slows down. I have to take my foot off the gas for about 10 seconds then it wil accelerate. Does anybody know what this is?

 

Also a code came up P0132. Does that have anything to do with my car?

 

try checkin your plugs and wires maybe changing them might help and if that doesnt get rid of the problem than change the o2 sensor.

 

Here's how I read it: You are stopped at a stoplight, you hit the gas and don't go anywhere and then your car slows down. Then, if you take your foot off the gas for 10 seconds, it will accelerate.

Where am I reading it wrong?

 

When I am stopped at a stoplight. Light turns green. I push the gas my car will get up to like 10 mph. As I am continuing to push the gas I hear a pop. And it wont accelerate. If I let off the gas and let it roll then press the gas again I will accelerate. I was wanting to know where this problem is coming from.
