Thought it gave up the other day...
Test your fuel pump. While you crank, have someone listen to the fuel pump for humming to ensure it hasn't failed and is receiving power. Remember, there's only three basic things to start and idle a vehicle: Fuel, Spark, Air.
I got stranded before b/c my F.P. all of a sudden decided to croak. It started up and drove perfect. Got to my destination; was in there for no longer than 20 minutes, came out and went to start her up....crank, crank, crank, started, idled 20 seconds, died. Crank, crank, crank, started, idled 5 seconds, died. DEAD. Would just crank & crank but wouldn't start. Had it towed home, did a bunch of testing, ended up being the FP. Replaced the FP myself, started right up. Just my $0.02.

Did that. The pump puts out 55 psi, which if I read correctly is right in the mid range of specs of 53 to 57 psi. Only three basic things, but they have become a lot harder to achieve since my first vehicle, an 83 ramcharger.
I think with vehicle's these days we have to add computer to the list
So It did it again, but this time it finally threw a code. Don't remember what it was anymore, but said fault in idle circut. I did some tracing and testing from the crank position sensor all the way to the idle air motor. I found a broken wire by the idle air motor. Problem solved, it fired right up and idled nicely, runs great again. Thanks for all the ideas.
