Default Shifter question

Hey guys I have a question about my shift ****.

I have a 2001 Dodge Neon SE auto and i wanted to change my shift ****, can someone please tell me how can i do that? lol it is funny i rebuild my engine but i can't figure out how to change my shift **** lol i looked for bolts screws cant find anything please let me know if you know how i can change it will really appreciate it

Undo the set screw (it's on the front, facing the HVAC panel), remove and replace. Done.

Just like darth said so what kind of shift **** are you lookin into getting. I actually have a red dice for my shift **** and mines an auto. Husband made the dice into an auto seeing it was a 5 speed.

my shifter has no set screw simply push down and 1/4 turn and it comes off

Hey darth maybe are newer neons are different for auto shiftknobs.

Maybe; never heard of that removal procedure before.

Me either and I have a 1st gen and shes simular to my 04 sxt when changing the shift ****.

i will try but i cant seem to find that screw on the front and i want to get this kind of shifter on the picture it is for auto shifter

Maybe you need to remove it like how hemi suggested. I checked and the manual for the 00-01 (not sure about the 02) doesn't say anything about removing a set screw like the 03+.

for a while, I had wanted to change my Auto shift ****, but cant seem to find many, if any, replacements for the auto (?)

I see millions for the manual shifters, but doesn't it need a button or something like a trigger like the stock one has in order to shift it out of park?

..I thought I did hear something about just being able to replace it with whatever you want, but you just have to push down or something (?) to unlock it from park?
