Default My 2002 sxt question?

I am now a proud owner of a 2002 dodge neon I am really into tuners I was going to get an srt4 couldn't find one so I bought this yellow skittle.

I need to know what kind of proformance modifications I can do to it.
Would like to make it faster then an srt4. I was told to just boost it.

Yes the most you can do is a turbo kit from a srt4 or a hahn turbo kit.

With a turbo kit maxing out the engine you have, it will be pretty close to a stock SRT-4. Look up ASP Turbo kits.

How much did you think a turbo kit cost? Hahn kits are almost $5,000. You have to pay to play. They don't care how much your car cost; that's how much you pay for a turbo kit whether the car is new with 0 miles or 20 years old with 400,000 miles. If any of those "ricers" you sound so fond of have a turbo kit, they paid about the same.

Hey any turbo kit would be a ok doesnt matter the name . I have seen some mean lookin ebay turbos in stis and evos and even some neons. You just have to look around to see what catches your eye. I actually have every engine mod for an auto but mega sqiurt or nitrous but soon to have a srt turbo maybe. With all the engine mods my sxt at least has around 150 maybe a little more hp.

sure a turbo will make a difference!
could probably squeeze that motor to make 200+hp
would it last long? probably not

if you think just buying the turbo is the end of spending money then your sadly mistaken, no more regular pump gas, burn more gas, will you also break stuff that wasnt designed for a turbo? yes
modding your car is like heroin once you start you cant stop so after the turbo your gonna want a list of other mods

IMHO save your cash for something else and just treat it for what it really is, a disposible mode of transportation.
or do a SRT-4 swap and blow the ricers away with a sleeper neon (could probably get a wrecked donor for under that turbo kits price)
