I think hids are brighter than those lights I see on the high end cars . The hids I see are from hondas and stis and evos and some srt4s around here and they are always the ones who are pulled over for having them at night . I was told when I was running with hids that they are illegal in Iowa. Hundred dollar ticket for running with hids.

 

They look brighter from all of the glare. A 6000K HID is a 6000K HID. It is illegal in every state, AFAIK, to have HID installed on any car that does not come with it from the factory. That being said, I don't think they mess with you too much if you have projector lenses so they don't blind others.

 

well they did with my halo projectors and I think I had more than 6000k hid I think they were 8000K hids. Im having my halos custom done anyways.,

 

I was just using 6K as an example. Insert whatever number you'd like there...
