gotta love Piston Slap!
my little neon has got some piston slap, its not a big deal to me bc im selling this car in a few months anyways, is there any quick fixes for it to maybe quiet it down a little bit, its real noticeable when the car is cold, after it warms up, not so much, it doesn't affect the performance at all either, it just is kinda annoying, the way ive been dealing with it is just turning the radio up louder, im thinking abut getting a really loud muffler to cover the sound lol...

In some chevy's that's something normal ... I think it was in the Tahoes, Escalades and some others but I'm not positive on this so don't quote me. As for a Neon I don't think it's a good thing and it would need to be taken care of. You're talking reboring your cylinder walls ....
As for gas mileage ... Took 3 strips all the same distance of 90% was highway
1st and 2nd trips I was doing roughly 10 miles over the speed limit and I was getting 1st: 35.5xxxx mpg's
2nd: 36.5xxxx mpg's
The 3rd trip I did exact speed limit with gradual slowing and slow speed up and I did 38.3xxxx mpg's.
My Neon is stock except for Bosch Iridium plugs and wires.
Now as for city mpg's I've been getting 30-32 mpg's.

I've got 153k on my '99 right now, owned it since 120k. Not a single issue with it. I hope my Neon can serve me as well as the Durango.
