Smile Car turning off and all electric turns off

I have a 2004 dodge neon se and Its been having this weird thing where it Just shuts down like a computer at stop lights.. I mean everything shuts down. firth the engine would turn off then light outs. Im outside pushing the car to the side of thr road without hazard. Any ideas of why this is happening would help thank you..

And my guess would be battery plugs maybe? cause the battery is still good

What is a battery plug exactly?

Check the battery terminals and posts for corrosion and tightness.

i don't know how these cars are with alternators but i'm pretty sure one that's 7 years old is just about dead.

Not true about any car that I'm aware of. People say the same thing about car batteries too.

You can't judge an alternator by it's age, batteries usually have a pretty common time frame. It's uncommon for a battery to go more than 8 or 9 years.

8 or 9 years is more reasonable than the 2 or 3 years most people say...
