Default air fuel ratio gauge

ok so i have a narrow band afr gauge i believe and i have heard that the o2 sensors on neons are wideband is that correct? and does anyone have a afr gauge installed? because i cannot get mine to work correctly it continues to read lean and never changes it will go out every now and then so can someone please tell me exactly what wire or wired i need to have it plugged into?

If you want to use a narrowband A/F gauge, you should install a narrowband O2 sensor...or buy a wideband, which on an engine that isn't tuned, is a waste.

Like Darth said there is really no point in putting a wideband in unless you plan on tuning the car. I believe Neon's come with Narrowband sensors which are switching from rich to lean on a 1v scale but I haven't looked at my O2 data in a while I could be wrong.

If you get a wideband try and get one that reads in Lambda as well as AFR since with the different ethanol % in gasoline now it is much easier to tune in Lambda instead of afr readouts and with ever changing ethanol % WOT readouts in AFR will be off some especially WOT readings and in Lambda will always be spot on no matter what ethanol % content you are using..

I would just get someone to Dyno tune it for you, a little safer and usually more effective.
