If you turn your key from off to on/run 3 times quickly, ending in the on position (not start), the odometer will display the codes too.

i did take it to autozone and it gave a list of like 4 or 5 different things and ive dont 3 of those things so far but i cant afford to change everything it says could be wrong

If there are codes for something wrong, you need to fix them. Asking for help won't change what needs to be fixed...

it didnt say that is whats wrong with it it said that those things could be causing it...ill find the paper and post them later

*cylinder misfire detected-cylinder 1
Explanition
*the powertrain control module monitors the
crankshaft speed and has detected a misfire
condition
*1-ignition system fault-spark plug(s), ignition wires, coil
*2-vacuum leak
*3-injector fault
*4-high or low fuel pressure

i know that i have to fix whats wrong im just trying to figure out what the problem is instead of fixing things that arnt really wrong with my car..ive never had this kind of problem before so i wasnt really sure what to do....thanks for everyones help

i changed the sparkplugs twice and changed the coil pack and right before i bought it the guy put new plugs on it.....it keeps going through oil too the oil light came on so im going to put more in it again

I know what your going through jen seeing my 04 sxt went through something like this last yr took forever to pin point the problem but I actually figured it out before my husband . It still could be the wires seeing they make look ok but really they are bad so you should start by getting them changed out for new ones and see if thats the problem.
