I own a 2002 neon. Today, the check engine light came on and shortly afterwards the car started jerking and then the transmission didn't seem to want to switch out of 3rd gear (automatic). I looked up the code and it says P0700 which is transmission control malfunction but that doesn't really tell me much.
Can some dear soul out there read this and reply with some knowledge that is more clear to understand? Thank you very much.

if its transmission related, and you dont know anything about cars... take it to the shop. first ofcourse, make sure there is transmission fluid.
