Default 00 Neon not cranking at all

So yeah u all know my bs, long story short a mechanic ****ed up and didnt do the right work turned out my timing belt skipped. i replaced the timing belt and bolted everything up and now my starter is not doing anything. i turn the key and its silent... im thinking those ****** sabotaged my car because i wouldnt let them do the timing belt and they lost money because they suck. any idea what would cause this or what someone could do to make this happen ? shoot me some ideas. thnx

anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong ? the starter isnt bad and the battery is new and the grounds are all connected. the power wire is connected so i honestly dont know what could cause it. my car used to have an aftermarket alarm but the ppl took it out and left 2 wires hanging under the dash, they were spliced into another wire right by a grey plug

Usually the car won't start without the alarm connected.

the alarm was fully disconnected from the car and when the mechanic had it they were able to start it when the cam sensor was unplugged( because timing was off) the alarm was aftermarket and i dont have sentry key either

check for 12V at the starters large lug
if 12V present then check the smalle stud on the starter while someone cycles the key
u should see 12V on the solenoid as well

i took out the starter relay and ran a jumper wire from battery pos terminal to the starter solennoid terminal in pdc and the starter cranks, im trying to do a few tests on the relay terminals to figure out what part is not working, is it possible to start the car with a jumper wire ? or just to get it to crank

from what i checked the neutral safety switch or the connection is bad. it said in the manual to check for continuity for the terminal for pin 85 in the fuse box and there is none. but shouldnt i be able to start the car by bypassing that with a jumper wire ? also since i can get it to crank but not start by doing this, do i have to do a crank/cam relearn with a scan tool since i put in a new timing belt?

if ur just jumping the starter it will crank but not fire as your ignition isn't live. leave your key in on position then try jumping the starter, should fire then

when I changed my timing belt it required no relearn

yeah i tried doing it in the on position and still all it will do is crank and crank still. the fact that the timing used to be 4 teeth off before the new belt wouldnt keep it from starting after replacing it ? this car is just frustrating me so much. i fixed the only problem it had and it still wont start and can only crank it by bypassing the relay because something else went wrong in there -.- and it doesnt help that i dont have the money to bring it to another shop
