Shakes upon shift
So as if I needed another thing to be seemingly wrong with my car, now when I shift into first at a stop my car shakes a little bit. Hopefully this isn't a sign that I need a new clutch, is it?
My automatic Dodge neon used to shakes like that at a stop.
but I did it on purpose by not to pressed the brake petal hard. The car can still moving but really really tiny slow, until it start to shakes.
I think it's normal, because the car is on a low rpm.
just like when you turn off the engine. When the car about to dies, you can feel the car shaking.
before I had my driver licence.
I sat in my friend car on the back, and it shook like that once.
I didn't asked him why it shook, but we thought he was a cool driver.

Did you shift it to 1st when the car was still moving? like down shifting to slowing down the car.
so, what happened was: the car shook like it moving hesitate and stumble, and not shook like an earth quake?
Just a few questions to make it more clear for other people to answer your question.
I don't drive manual but my guess is the clutch did not engage well to transfered the power, but it's more like the 1st gear wore out, it causes your car to shakes like that and not when you on other gears.

no, i wasn't downshifting, i was already stopped, red light. went from neut to first, clutch pedal was all the way in, went into first and the car shook forward a tiny bit, like if a car could shiver. it does it after i've been driving for a while, maybe over 20-30 minutes, then that happens.
