Default 05 Neon tranny leak

Well i replaced the solenoid pkg gasket but it is still leaking from some where. Only after driving it, not just idling. After removing the air filter assembly i tried power braking it and i think i found the leak. Looks like the lower half trans case right behind the middle solenoid bolt. There is an indent in the
that seems to get wet first. The side wall on the left does not look as good
as the rest of the case. The Neon is an 05 with 80 k miles and i am the 2nd owner. What might my options be?

Got a picture of the area? I just can't "see" what you are talking about.

Default 05 neon tranny leak

Here's some pictures. I'm having some trouble attaching them, I hope they get through to you. 05 Neon tranny leak-arrow.jpg This is right behind the center bolt on the solenoid package. If I stuff a paper towel in that area, it gets wet. The channel below and behind the solenoid package is dry. It's not the solenoid package gasket. It's coming from that area, if you get the picture. It must be a hairline crack. I guess it's time for J.B. Weld, what do you think?

There's obviously a little leak from somewhere. There's no way I can tell from the picture, but I get what area you are talking about now.

If you can zoom in there it looks like a hairline crack. If so, would J.B.Weld be
an acceptable fix? Or is there a better solution?

If it's an actual crack that you have seen fluid leak from, IDK what the "proper" fix is. I've got little lines on certain parts, but I've chalked them up to casting or coating imperfections as I don't have leaks.

Thanks for now. Gotta do the quick fix for now. Got 3, 6 hr road trips coming up in next 2 weeks. Ill look into aluminum welding after that.

Just wondering how hot does the transmission get cruising at 75 mph ? And is the fluid temperature the same. Also might this leak blow open?
