2000 Neon...If we start the engine, then turn on the headlights the car just dies. Sometimes. We loose power to everything...interior lights, radio, dash. Then the car will start again. This started after my daughter hit a very large bump.
Any Ideas on where to start?

Look at power and ground wires and see if any are loose, disconnected or corroded. The headlight grounds are on top of the radiator support.

 

try a known good battery , dont have to fit you can use boosters.
perhaps the jolt has damaged a cell?
any Idea what the alternator is putting out?

start with battery, alternator, and check wiring
