I just installed the new CPS. I used an OEM one. I guess I just gotta wait until it doesn't start or when the CEL turns On again. Hoping this fixed it. Thank you. I'll be back for some update

It's working now though? Did you go over the wiring?

I listed the two most common and probable causes up above. You still have to check out things on your own car. Just because his may be a bad sensor doesn't mean yours is too. You could have bad wiring.

Yea well my codes were the knock sensor (which ive changed), and the camshaft sensor. the mechanic had said maybe it was the starter because it was stuck, so it was changed out and it still didnt want to start so then we changed the knock sensor and the car is still not starting. ill have the wiring checked out as well

UPDATE:
We found out that it might be the switch because theres is no current going from the switch to the fuse to start it. So we are gonna check into that. Thanks for the clarification!

Yes, a "small" EVAP leak I believe. It could be a gas cap as everyone seems to think, but the Neon also gets the code commonly from the lines coming off of the carbon canister. The C/C is located in front of the RR wheel; it's a black canister. The biggest line coming off of it will develop cracks on the ends over time. Spend some time and remove the line carefully so you don't break any of the plastic crap the line is attached to (you'll have to replace the whole line!). I used cold tape and RTV to fill in and then cover and seal the cracks. Fixed the problem for me.

Im gonna go ahead and try that, sadly I wont be able to look/work on it until this weekend since my jackstand is at my parents house. But ill look into it. do you have any video or write up on how to remove the line and CC? Or is it self explanatory? btw could it also be some of the hoses in the hood?

It's just like a 2' long J-shaped piece of rubber hose that slides onto the other pieces. You just wiggle and twist it, and gently take it off. It's not likely to be a hose in the engine bay; most of the emissions/EVAP stuff is at the back end of the car.

Thanks darthroush, I will look into that this weekend. I'm hoping that it those tubes are the culprit but I also read somewhere that I shouldn't top off the gas. I used to fill it up then it stops... Then I keep going..
