Default Rain

Im julio i have an 03 neon sxt. This happens when it rains. If the street is wet an i brake the 2 front tires stop spinning and i start slidding. I checked my tired but they are in good shape so it couldnt be the tires. Does anybody have an idea of what it could be? Thanks.

Sounds like your front brakes, and subsequently tires, are locking up because either: you are hitting the brakes too hard or something is wrong with the front brakes causing them to lock up when you hit the brakes.

Or........

His back brakes are so far out of adjustment that his car is only stopping on the front brakes.

Easiest way to determine this is if the car has a tendency to nose dive when stopping hard on dry ground.

This^ who uses used brake pads? They are what about $20 a set? It's not like your life could depend on them working or anything.
Edit looked it up $16.99 @ the zone.

I just changed used calipers out from a junkyard on a honda, they came with practically brand new raysbestos pads, maybe 3000 miles on em......

I'd use any of those over the crap pads the Zone sells. Imho you buy even there best duralast brand which is well over 16.99 valuecrap they sell........and you end up with brake fade fairly quickly as the pads get warmer which is taking your life into your own hands.

I say this from experience...I tossed some zone shoes on my car just to get it running, a week later i bought some quality raysbestos shoes....the stopping diff even with rears only doing 30% of work is night and day.
