Was preety easy, 3/4 were already where i wanted them, 1/2 were off.

I had a moroso index washer kit sitting around that i paid i think 20 for a whole bunch way more than needed ( sure they can be had cheaper versus what i paid for an instock item at a speed shop )

I ended up using the largest in the 1/2 cylinders, Have a coat hanger handy and make a small V in end ( metal ) when trying to find the right size as thats the best method I found to remove washers from those long tubes.

 

Can I just use regular washers from the hardware store or do they have to be indexing washers?

 

Sure the only difference is the index washer set comes color coordinated by thickness and gives you 3 different thicknesses in optimal degreeing and the outer diameter is guaranteed to not get stuck in tube

I imagine you could find a rather decent variety of washers at a hardware store as well that could do the job.

An alternative could be copper fuel filter washers found in the help section
at autozone.

 

yea im lost on what yall are talking about and i was looking for 10 mm bc someone told me that was the first step to better performance im just now getting into my car so half the **** yall talking im lost but any and all advice is wanted !

 

The 8.5's will be plenty big enough. If they work good on V8's with high horsepower, they'll work just fine on one of these cars.

 

Simple version: buy the 8.5mm wires. Done.
