Default Bent Pulley

Ok, so I got an A/C compressor off eBay and it looks to be in good condition, but the pulley is bent in one location. Can I just get some vicegrips and bend it back? Can I just put it on with it like that? Besides sending it back, what should I do?

Ok...instruction on how to do that? I asked my shop of choice, and he said that "90% of pulleys are attached to the A/C clutch itself.". If I can figure out how to get the pulley off I totally would.

I don't see why you couldn't just bend it back. It's just a guide for the belt to keep it from jumping off.

The piece that bent and the guide next to it are one piece. It's a solid alloy. It's bent like it was hit from the bottom like in a wreck. I've already tried bending it back :-/. Does anyone know specific instructions on how to get the pulley off? I tried the bolt in the middle, and couldn't get anything off passed that. I used a filter wrench to keep the compressor from spinning and a 10mm socket to get the bolt off.

Nevermind. I figured it out. I got the clutch off, and it shouldn't take my shop much to get the pulley off. In retrospect, I could just take the clutch off this one and put it on the one that's already on my car. True?

As long as that wasn't the part that failed originally.

most likely some d.ou.che dropped it after they took it off their parts neon an ebay'd it. Make sure to flush that pump good with compressor oil to be 100% sure there's no crud in there. Clutch should come off really easily just swap it with your good one. Why did you replace your compressor?

The compressor works just great. The shop I took it to bent it back all the way, and had to use the old high pressure cycling switch. I'm sure they got it clean. I replaced it because the old one wouldn't engage, as the clutch was so stuck it stripped their cluth puller at the shop.
