shuttering
I am new to the Dodge Forum and quite impressed with all the Q and A?
Anyways, I have a 2000 Neon that has about 93000 miles on it and it has been acting funny with the AC on. No check engine lights have come on as of yet. The problem is when the AC is on and at low idle. An example is when in reverse or at a stop sign, stop light, just starting out, etc. the car shudders like it is trying to die or it has bad gas. But it seems to do this only when the AC is on. It does not do it everytime, but it is kind of scary when you are trying to jut out into traffic and the car hesitates. I have run some fuel injector cleaner through it more than once and it hasn't solved any problems. Does anyone have any suggestions?

RE: shuttering
do you have an automatic or manual transmission? The issue is that when your ac is on, your blower is suckin power from your belt system that is powering your engine. Mine dies down a bit too when I have mine blowin at full blast. Im planning on putting on an underdrive pulley which would lighten everything up and it shouldnt draw as much power from my engine. Just a suggestion that might help you out too.
