Default 00' to 05' Interchange

So I'm really into buying this nice '05 SXT. I currently have a '00 ES. I want to keep my short throw, my head unit, and maybe my CAI. a) Is there a difference in the linkages of the '00-'02 models and the '03-'05 models? b)Would I be able to just swap the head units? The '05 is bone stock, so I don't know if I could just swap it with the wiring harness and everything. and c) Is there a difference in the intakes that would make the CAI I have not fit?

Is the head unit an aftermarket, or an upgraded Dodge unit? The wiring harnesses and electronics did change from 03+, but if its aftermarket, you should be able to make proper wiring adjustments to make it work. The CAI should bolt up fine, and the short throw should work as well.

Ok. It's an aftermarket head unit. And yes, I love my short throw too much to just let it go. Thanks.

I believe those wiring harness adapter thingies you buy for aftermarket HUs cover 2000-2005 Neons, so you should be GTG if that's what you used.

If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and get some new shifter bushings while your at it. Crazy what a difference such an innocuous piece of rubber can make..
