Cool oil pressure light

I have a 2004 Neon with 98000 on it. I put headers on it about a month ago. Probably not related. But after the engine warms up, the light comes on at idle. It goes off as soon as I give it some gas. Oil level is ok too. I'm hoping it's the sensor, but it could be the pump. Oil level is ok too. Has any one else had this happen to them?

Most commonly a bad oil pressure switch/sensor.

^^ +1.

Disconnect your sensor and check for oil in the connector.

What does it mean if there is oil in the connector?

I looked under the car today and noticed i have an oil leak too. I wonder if the seal in the oil pump is bad? Would this cause the light to come on?

The pump cannot leak externally.

The oil leak could be from the sensor.

I replaced my oil pressure switch yesterday but I now have a slight vibration when I accelerate between 1000 and 2500 Rpm. any idea on what could be causing this?

Did you take anything off to replace the sensor?
