What exactly did you rebuild? And can you actually see smoke coming out of the exhaust?

Did you hone the block when you put everything back together?

Ahhhh because if it wasn't honed correctly the rings may have never gotten a chance to seat correctly.

I'm not a mechanic, but how often do you have to hone the block to make those rings seat correctly? I thought those rings were sized correctly?
What exactly does honing the block mean?

It needs to be done anytime you replace rings and it is usually a good idea to do it whenever you remove the piston from the cylinder.
It removes the glaze from the cylinder wall.
If you want a more in depth explanation there are plenty of websites out there that can describe it further.

Are you sure it's not leaking somewhere? There was a post on here that had the same issue, and they couldn't find what it was. It was the oil pressure sending unit, which would explain loss of oil, and no smoke in the exhaust.
