Hi!! im new to this forum, I just turned 16 i have also just became a proud owner of a 4dr 2001 dodge neon Se! It has a one small rust spot by the bottom of the driver door and I was wondering if there is anyone that would give me tips on how to take care of that where to go for bodykits Engine dress up kits and proformance parts .... i know this sounds silly cuz im 16 and in highschool buti have a job and currently have 2349 dollars saved up for parts. im also taking a shop class to help give me access to the tools i need to learn about cars. So if anyone could share there knowledge with me to help with my project car that would be great, Thanks!

I've the plain google search but always parts for the 2.4L engine pop up even if I type 2.0 n there doesn't seem to be as many mods for the 2.0L ?

partsgeek.com is alot of factory parts and not to bad pricing .... that's why I threw that one up. Modernperformance.com has some stuff for the internals of the 2.0, cams, springs, under drive pulleys ... basics I guess you could say ... But I did leave out a very important place ( and my personal favorite ) Salvage yards.

 

Haha will do , but I really have no clue what to look for ? Unless it's visual... The car runs smooth the only thing i know I need to fix a rust spot and buy some loaded struts for the front other wise I just did the brakes and put new tires on the car.

 

The salvage yards around my city have nothing for my car ... The closest I got to parts for a neon is a 2.4L turbo engine from a srt4 that was rear ended n totalled but still outta my price range

 

I could only wish that I found an SRT in a salvage yard near me .... I have to deal with one in Miami ...
