Default 02 Neon in limp mode, P0700, P0755

It has been sitting for a few months, fixed the few things wrong ( tie rod/.wheel studs) and it was running good shifting through gears when i got gas for it, then i let it sit for a week and picked it up from my dads shop, drove about ~10 mils, everything fine. then as i'm slowing down to a stop at a stop light, she dies. we get it started and now it wouldn't shift, i've searched a little and i guess this is limp mode. it does have a bad battery, and i noticed it felt a little weak with the lights, when i first started it the lights would dim and stuff but that went away about a mile or so into the drive.

Auto trans, 2.0 motor, 180k miles. i guess from my searching it's either the solenoid pack , or the output/input senors of some sort? my Speedo works. i pulled the airbox and looked under for loose wires or anything but it all seems to be connected and nothing looks too bad ( pretty dirty down there though)

i read on another thread it could be the battery cables. not sure what else to do atm. i'm resetting the pcm atm so see if that works but if it doesn't i'll report back.

/E: Didn't do anything. Would this thing be viable to drive while like this? ( 45 is about 4000rpm), no highway. i have nothing else to drive atm.

@ 180k you might as well do the inner tie rods too, cheap easy fix and really solidifies up the front end feel =)

i did the outers already, and i'm on a low budget for repairs so unless something absolutely needs to be fixed, it can wait. i need to fix this, new battery, and pay for this months insurance in the next 2 or so weeks. i'm just a college student doing 23 hours a week dishwashing so not much for cash flow. plus it feels pretty nice, at least compared to my dads 04 2500/ my 93 lifted ranger. so i can deal with it. i don't think it's loose at all though.

also...i was leaving work about an hour ago and for about 2 or 3 miles the transmission shifted like normal...i was overjoyed but then i hit some bumpy railroad tracks, and it went back into limp mode. the CEL never went off. i tried to hit a few bumps on the dirt road i live on to see if it would start shifting back normally again but it didn't. not sure what to make of it.
