Smile clutch pedal

I have a 2001 dodge neon, manual clutch. does that model have a clutch switch. was wondering cause I have to really press the clutch pedal to the floor...to start the car.. the clutch was put in a year ago by mechanic. only put 10,000 miles on it

the car shifts great.. any ideas and where would the clutch switch be located

You have to push the clutch in all the way to the floor to start it. The switch is just a simple button that gets pressed by the pedal when you push it to the floor. There isn't really a away around this, other than relocating the switch but starting your car without the clutch all the way in not only is bad for your engine/transmission/clutch, it's also a safety hazard.
