RE: SRT-4 Motor?
eh, see... a lot of people look towards cheap horsepower vs the maximum horespower.
Grabbing a 2.4 turbo off an srt-4 may be just about as much as a Hans Turbo. However, when comparing future mods to the limited 2.0 liter engine... the results are off the charts.
You might be lucky and be able to go to low-mid 13's with the SOHC 2.0 liter... but look at the difference in that to the 2.4 Liter! It grabs so much more that cheap is no exception in the case of power to your wheels.
I dunno... its off topic yes but I cant see why you wouldnt opt for a 2.4L turbo over a hans turbo when in the long run, the advantages out weigh, by any means, anything you can put on the 2.0 liter internally and externally with just a handful of mods.
P.S. I believe howell offers crate 2.4 short block motors and SRT turbo kits... if i am wrong please correct me.
cheap may be good... but my stance is look at the maximum horsepower you can POSSIBLY squeeze out of your car, then budget how to get there.
