Default installing a new head, do I need to add more oil ?

When installing a new rebuilt SOHC cylinder head do I need to add more oil ? Looks like the parts have some oil on them. I was just wondering if I needed to pour some oil before added the valve cover. Thanks

If the dipstick shows you need oil, then add some.

I meant do you normally have to add a little oil on the cam until the oil gets there at start up.
Thanks

Please, if you can.Have somebody with engine knowledge look at that for you.
The rebuilt heads from Advance A didn't look like they had any assembly lube when it was rebuilt that's why I was asking. Some new valves were added and it was decked. So I ending up pouring oil all over the valve train. I turned the engine by hand a few times without the spark plugs in. I changed the the engine oil and filter. I kept out the fuel fuse and turned the engine over a 10 seconds to get more oil on the valve train. I plugged in the fuse and started the car and checked the compression and got 185psi on each cylinder. No trouble codes.

Very Good job.
Did it need new head? Or are you going for a performance boost?
Going to Dyno it?
None taken. I have never done this before, but I'll take anything apart. I did a lot of research first, you tube videos and Haynes manual and questions here. It was a burnt exhaust valve. It was a repair for my daughter's car.
