I did. There was nothing wrong with the connections. It was internal to the cable itself.

Sounds like your mechanic made some extra money then because the internals of the cable could have been tested with a DMM.

Well if you knew anything about cars, battery cables don't normally just stop working and go bad. Another curse on the American public with these junk American cars. Absolute garbage. This is my beater anyway. Glad my daily driver is a German car. Talked to friend who is a town cop and asked him how he liked the Charger as his police car. He also said they were garbage. On its third transmission.

Corrosion can build up in the wiring or under the terminals and eventually be corroded enough to "just stop working." Remember though, you're the one who asked for help because you didn't know what to check when your car lost power.
