Default E-Brake Question...

I bought a 2005 dodge neon....and the emergency brake doesn't lock up the rear wheels??? is that because the drum brakes are adjusted wrong??? or what would cause that??? thanx for any help....-christophr

My 2000 in gear will not hold the rear tires. But in nuteral on a hill they hold fine. Yours seems too new to have to adjust yet.

My 1st gen won't lock up either. I always assumed it needed to be adjusted, but it did always hold on hills. There is an adjustment on the cable under the car, try that.

Wife's 2002 ES w\rear discs locks "em up real good! Don't do it too often though, she just doesn't appreciate the art of driving, even with Michelangelo at the wheel!hehehe!

i had the same problem guys and ive already taken off my center console and it cant be tightened there so im guessing that maybe it must be tightened somewhere by the actual wheels?? but i have abso no idea i was actually thinking of taking it to the dealer since im still under warranty and maybe i can hit you guys back with some real details
