E-Brake Question...
I bought a 2005 dodge neon....and the emergency brake doesn't lock up the rear wheels??? is that because the drum brakes are adjusted wrong??? or what would cause that??? thanx for any help....-christophr
the e brake is supposed 2 b that loose cuz its just meant to stop the car from rolling down a hill or somthing which it does but not lock up the back tires. i wanted 2 tighten this and i no there is a way but i have tried and i couldnt find the nut to tighten so if anyone knows where it is please let me no
yeah...when i'm rolling...the brake will not lock up....i dont know about how it works in nuetral...i would like to get it to lock up though...so i can tear some stuff up...nah...but i like to have a little fun and it's hard without a e-brake
thatz tru i would like 2 lock them up 2 but i dont no how u can try taking off the center console and looking for the tightening nut along the brake cable and if u find out where it is pleas let me no
My 1st gen won't lock up either. I always assumed it needed to be adjusted, but it did always hold on hills. There is an adjustment on the cable under the car, try that.

i had the same problem guys and ive already taken off my center console and it cant be tightened there so im guessing that maybe it must be tightened somewhere by the actual wheels?? but i have abso no idea i was actually thinking of taking it to the dealer since im still under warranty and maybe i can hit you guys back with some real details
