Default r/t to srt exhaust interchangeability

hey guys new to the forum as of 5 minutes ago and i havent done much digging so ill probably get slayed for asking a previously answered question but are the srt and r/t exhausts interchangable other than the fact that the rear bumper molding on the srt4 is much larger so it can support larger diameter tips...asking because im planning to do exhaust next and just wanna be careful with my money

my only mod is a k&n typhoon

thanks guys...hope thats not a bad question??

EDIT:

ok maybe what i meant to say is that im looking at the borla cat back on modern performance but its mad expensive and im not so sure that my best option but i want to stay with dual outlets taht match my molding and obviously want something over stock...ideas?

Well you could just get a rear section (from MP run about $250), not the whole catback. But the SRT-4 and R/T are very different (mainly b/c the SRT-4 has bigger pipes and no muffler). The diameter of the piping is different and i wouldnt really call any exhaust "interchangeable".
Oh and i believe the R/T exhaust tips are 3 1/2 and the SRT-4 are 4" or 4 1/2"...not positive though.

The Borla is one of the best cat-backs out there. The last forever and sound great. I made the mistake of getting the pacesetter for mine and its OK, but the Borla is better. Save your money and get the borla.

Yeah they fit in the cutout, it just looked funny having the oval tips in semi-circle cut outs.

Yeah I could see how that would look funny, tips are not that expensive anyways and have nothing to do with the performance.
