You don't know what I would give to have a friend who would work for free on the side. It sounds like you just have someone who does work on your car for fun. The guys who I have install my stuff give me super deals on the prices vs what I would pay somewhere else but, I still pay.

04ryanR/T: Yes I got my valve springs from Crane. I believe I heard that you don't have to get upgraded valve springs with the Cam 10 (I'm not 100% sure). With the Cam 12 I know you need them though.
At the rpm my Race PCM is capable of, the valve spings will def. be necessary. I doubt I'll be going over 7000 rpm anyway.

He does do it for fun. He does it because thats what he likes to do. However I help him with pretty much most anything he wants. And he knows that if my car is ever fast someday maybe I'll let him drive it.

Someone must like you this week[:-] Tell us when you get that stuff on there

Not really; I don't get any deals when I buy aftermarket parts. I pay what's advertised[sm=gears.gif].

[sm=happy046.gif]I couldn't resist so I ordered the Fidanza cam gear last Friday and it got here today. I'm still debating if I should leave the timing belt cover off so I can constantly adjust it. I really can't wait until I get my stuff installed. On the engine where the cam gear is located, it just looks too tight and too much of a pain to reach to constantly be adjusting the timing. I'm going to see how that goes.

It's cool. The car seems to have an increase in torque more than anything. Overall, the performance increase was ok. I thought I would be able to go past 120 easier since the top speed limiter is eliminated but, it still took a longer time than I thought it would at those speeds. I stopped at alittle past 115 b/c the car was crawling to 120 mph and I didn't want to get a ticket. It probably could have been able to go past 120 if I would have been more patient but I'll pass. Hopefully my cam job will increase the performance to where it will help the car go from crawling to running past 120.
