Just reading your post online. I'm having the same exact issue. It's going back to the dealer on Monday. How does the story end? I need to know! Please help.
I'm getting the car back from the dealership, I am told my noise was caused by a missing or busted 'piston wrist pin' the piston was replaced. Does anyone know if that will be okay? Originally I was told the block would need to be replaced now I'm told they are just going to replace the piston.
Also I wanted to add that the mechanic was able to identify the noise prior to opening the engine which leads me to believe this might be a common condition for this car. I want to know why this would happen on a car with only 25k miles on it?
