Default Manual tranny Q

Hey guys. Im droping in a manual tranny into my auto 2002 neon.. I know i need shifter,cables, clutch pedle/cabel,tranny, and computer. What computer do i need? Is there a tranny computer or do i just replace the normal pcm out of a 02 manual car? thanks and is there anything else i need that im missing?

Yep, a MTX PCM will be just fine. I would suggest a performance one while your there if you have the extra cash.

Yeah your gonna need a 2000-2002 PCM.

hate to brake it to you , bud, but 2 or 3 grand that might get spent on upgrades won't buy much of a car. maybe some piece of $#!+ camaro or something, but that's about it.

I never said anything was wrong with it... I'm just saying in my opinion the way I invest my money is the most bang for my buck? The most quality horsepower for the least amount of money. Yes I am impressed when a tuner can beat my Camaro, but they spent at least the value of their car in doing it??? I don't know the extent of how or how much you spend into your car. My friend spent all his money buying the car, and twice the value of his neon decking it out and it runs mid 14's, I see people buying the SRT-4 straight up and running the same times for less $$$
