hi there just bought my 2004 neon base, i have a cai on the way my first mod for this car so with just putting on bolt ons how much HP am i looking at for this car.
the bolt ons im planning are
cai
header
cat back exhaust
ud pulley
thats my plans so far any ideas thanks

 

I'm gonna say 150. But some might argue that to be too high. I've done all those things except for headers, which is what I'm planning on doing next. After that it's INDY intake manifold, then cam/springs/retainers. I havn't dynoed my car so I don't know for sure man. Good Luck with everything...

I'd say at the most, you'll be at 150 hp max and that would be measured at the crank not the wheels.

From the things I've read that's just my guess. The gain probably wont even be that much but I was saying that 150 would be the max.

If you want to see some real gains i would go for an Indy or Magnum Intake Manifold...

 

im guessing 120 hp too, if u want real power buy turbo kit, and 100 shot nos, port and polish, couple bolt on's and bam u got urself a 13 sec neon!
