Check to see if there is a small fuse on the plug of the radar, they make them tiny nowadays. some are in the plug itself or a newer style blade type on the plug.

Well i did nothing to radar and tried it on my friends car and it worked fine on his car, the problem is definitely my cigarette socket.

same thing happened to me . It was the 20 amp p/out fuse in the engine bay.
