Default Rearview Mirror

Ok guys.. I just put in my subs and amp in my 01 Neon. The only problem is, when the bass hits hard, my rearview mirrors (inside) adjustment gets messed up... it just moves down to where I see the back seats... is there anyway to tighten this thing up???

try the screw on the bottom of the mount...otherwise there isnt much you can do because of the vibrations from the stereo

Thanks for responding, but, it's not the mount that's loose... it's the mirror itself... I was thinking of setting it where I need it and glueing it, LoL!!!

if thats what you wanna do...the only other option is to get a new one, but then it would only be a matter of time until that one does the same thing...my first neon did it but it had 4 12's...so any mirror was no good

Ya, I thought about getting a new one, but, if I got one from Auto Zone or something, it wouldn't have the lights, and since my dome light doesn't work, I like the lights, LoL.... I think I may have a solution, but, I have to try it out.... LoL, thanks again.

my mirror does the same thing.. but after awhile i think that it flattened out the tip of the screw that help it in place bc one day i was driving and next thing i knew my mirror rattled off and landed on my hand.. btw it hurts...so after awhile you might want to replace the screw

LoL, thanks for the heads up... same thing happened in my old Camaro when I had 4 12s in it, but, the mirror cracked before it fell, and then cut my hand all up!!! This was about 10 years ago, LoL... learned my lesson from that!
