Default i need help frm people who have done this

i want to take off my side molding and have attempted it a few times but it seems to be stuck on there very good. i want to know anyone who has removed it pulled off their paint. also is it stuck on there like the emblems or is it glued on.

A plastic scraper or some fishing line will work just fine. If it sticks heat it up with a hair dryer a little. You can get the glue off with glue be gone or any other adhesive remover.

I have an electric blue sxt I am wondering the same thing. What is holding the molding on. Is it double sided tape or is it held on by pop rivets

theres no rivets, its just glued on. i just yanked mine off then used goo gone to remove the left over adhesive.

yeah you can just heat it up ad it will pull right off, then you can use goo gone or use a buffer to get the glue off, had a detail shop buff my car right after i pulled them off, and you can not even tell they where ever on the car.....good luck

got mine off in 5 minutes, maybe 10, then used goo gone to get the left over glue off, looks 10 times better without them...

So does it look better without the side molding? I never really considered taking it off and i cant really picture what it would look like without them...but maybe i might anyway...

I like them on and I cant take them off cause I have a custom black paint job and wouldnt look good underneath.
